Capelle aan den IJssel • Rotterdam • South Holland
SunGaya facilitates ayahuasca ceremonies in Zuid-Holland, for people who are willing to look at themselves honestly and who don't just want an experience, but want to live what it shows them.
Ayahuasca doesn't work according to your expectations. It asks for collaboration. Letting go of control a little, or asking very focused questions without limiting it. The ceremony itself is not the hardest part. What comes after is the real work.
Because if you keep doing what you always did, you get what you always got.
“ It is not the ceremony itself that changes your life, but what you do with it afterward. ”

MORE THAN AN EXPERIENCE
THE FACE BEHIND SUNGAYA
From years of experience in ceremonial work, I guide people through processes of personal growth, trauma healing and breaking old patterns. Within my work, not only the experience itself is central, but especially what happens afterwards: the integration into daily life.
I personally guide the ceremonies, with Sary 🐾 and Nova 🐾 present as gentle support in the space.
FOR WHOM
There is no one type of person who comes to SunGaya. But there are recognizable moments.
Maybe you're at a crossroads and don't know which direction to take yet. Maybe you've been carrying the same patterns in relationships, work or family for years, and you're starting to wonder where they actually come from. Or you feel that something is missing, without being able to say exactly what. Your head is constantly on. You've lost touch with what you truly want.
Sometimes those patterns go back further than yourself. Through family lines and generations. Things you carry with you without knowing why they feel so heavy.
Ayahuasca puts a magnifying glass on what is really going on. Not always in the way you expect, but in the way you need.
A ceremony at SunGaya is not for people who come looking for a quick fix. Ayahuasca doesn't hand you answers on a silver platter. It is also not for people who would rather switch off their emotions, feelings and thoughts.
Ayahuasca is a snapshot in time. What you do with it afterwards, how you learn to work together with what it shows you and how you apply that in your daily life, that is what it is all about.
Are you willing to engage in that process? Then you are welcome.
Non-negotiable: be honest and align with me.
Tapering off antidepressants carries real risk and belongs with your doctor or prescriber. Our preparatory program (Seed of Transformation) can support you alongside that in the preparation process, but it never replaces medical advice.
WHY SUNGAYA
There are more places in the Netherlands where you can do an ayahuasca ceremony. What makes SunGaya different starts before the ceremony itself.
The "medicine"
I work with an ayahuasca analogue: a combination of Peganum Harmala and Jurema. Consciously chosen, because this combination connects well with our western society. We have been raised to analyse, to live from the head and to perform. In doing so, we have often drifted far from our feelings and our inner compass. This combination guides you inward, to connect with your inner truth.
My role in that is that of a guide. Sometimes making the overwhelming visible again is enough to be able to move forward.
Group or private
You can choose a group ceremony or a private session, also for a self-composed group. Either way, the guidance is personal and tailored to what your process requires.
Integration momentum
After the ceremony it doesn't stop. For approximately four weeks you will regularly receive tips and support by email to guide your integration process. After about ten days we also come together again as a group via Zoom, to share what has been set in motion and what still asks for attention.
Not as a closing, but as the moment where the integration truly begins.
Careful screening
Medication and contraindications are always discussed in advance. Honesty about this is non-negotiable.
Integration as the core
Not as an afterthought, but as the real work. Because if you keep doing what you always did, you get what you always got.

THE PROCES
At SunGaya we work with a clear process, so you can begin safely and allow your insights to truly take root in daily life.
Book a check-in and receive alignment on safety, medication and timing. This is not a casual introduction, it is the first step in your process.
After your check-in you will receive access to the current ceremony dates. Small groups, personal attention before, during and after the journey.
After the ceremony I will guide you through the process that follows. For four weeks you will receive tips and support by email. After about ten days we come together again as a group via Zoom to share what has been set in motion.
Have you participated before?
You don't need to do the full check-in again. If desired, schedule a short re-alignment so we can check safety, timing and any medication updates. To view the dates you can log in with your old account and login details.
PRE-TRAJECTORY
Seed of Transformation is for people who want to but find it exciting to let go of control. For those who are afraid of the intensity or the unknown. Or for those who first need a trajectory to for example taper off medication due to a diagnosis that stands in the way of directly participating in a ceremony.
Seed prepares you for what is to come, so that you enter the ceremony with more confidence and less overwhelm.

AFTER THE CEREMONY
The ceremony opens a door, but coming home happens afterward. Many people touch something vast and intense, something they have no words for. So many insights, yet no place for them to land.
That is why there are three forms of integration. Not a fixed path, but support to help you live what you have seen instead of losing it.
These trajectories are not products, and you are not a client. We attune to what fits you. We feel whether the collaboration is aligned. From there, the form emerges.
For those who have just done a ceremony and are looking for rest and grounding. Understanding what has been touched and how to move forward.
For those who notice that old patterns are returning. You don't just want to understand. You especially want to break through and know that you won't slide back.
For those who feel that something new wants to emerge. You are ready to embody what has touched you. And certainly not only during a ceremony, but in life itself.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Honest answer: no, not entirely. Jurema contains DMT and falls under the Opium Act. The legal status of this kind of ceremony is a grey area in the Netherlands. We recommend you look into this yourself as well. Careful screening and transparency are our starting point.
Traditional ayahuasca is made from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine combined with a DMT-containing plant such as Chacruna. An analogue works on the same principle but with different plants: Peganum Harmala as a MAO-inhibitor and Jurema as a DMT source. The effect is comparable, the plants themselves are different.
Many participants find that old memories, patterns, and beliefs surface. Sometimes even patterns that go back further than themselves.
The purge, as vomiting during a ceremony is called, is not something that happens to everyone. It is not a standard part of the experience, but rather something that comes along for some people. Everyone has a unique journey. What you experience depends on your own process, not on a fixed script.
Not always. This is assessed in advance through the mandatory check-in. Never stop taking medication yourself without consulting your doctor.
The ceremony itself lasts on average between 6 and 8 hours. Practically speaking, for a day ceremony you are present from approximately 10:00 to 22:00. For an evening ceremony including overnight stay you start at 14:00 and leave the following day around 12:00.
Also keep in mind that you will need the day(s) after to let everything sink in quietly. So don't plan a full schedule.
The check-in costs €39,-. If you decide to book a ceremony within 30 days, you will receive a code with which you can deduct this amount from your ceremony booking. The rates for the ceremonies can be found on the rates page.
After the ceremony I will guide you through the process that follows. For approximately four weeks you will regularly receive tips and support by email to guide your integration process. After about ten days we also come together again as a group via Zoom, to share what has been set in motion and what still asks for attention.
We always discuss this during the check-in. In some cases Seed of Transformation is a better first step.
READY TO START
The check-in is not an informal introduction. It is the first step in your process. Honest, aligned and confidential.
“ Ayahuasca is not an escape. It is a remembrance. A mirror that brings you back to what is true within you. It does not change your life. It shows you what you already knew but did not dare to live. ”
