About SunGaya
SunGaya is a place for people who aren’t looking for an “experience,” but for real change. Ayahuasca can open a lot. But your life only changes when you’re willing afterward to look, to feel, and to make the choices you used to avoid.
I’m Yufen Sun. I guide ceremonies from one core principle: safety, clarity, and a grounded container. Not only during the journey, but especially in what comes after. Integration isn’t an afterthought, it’s the bridge between insight and a different life.
Together with an experienced team of facilitators, we keep the space small and carefully held. We work calmly, attuned, and professionally. Our ceremony dogs, Sary and Nova, are present as gentle support in the room for anyone who feels they need it.
My background is in coaching and guidance since 2002. A profound period in my own life set me on the path of deep inner work. Ayahuasca became a catalyst in that process. Not as a “solution,” but as a mirror. Since then, my work has grown from personal healing into holding groups and offering one-on-one guidance.
At SunGaya, you are welcome if you’re willing to be honest with your whole self.
Our Team
At SunGaya, you’re not doing this alone. We work with a small, experienced team of facilitators, so there is always calm, clear oversight, and practical support.
During the ceremony, continuous guidance is present: for practical care, emotional regulation, grounding, and safety. We work with clear roles and firm boundaries. Gentle where possible, steady where needed.
When there is live music, it isn’t a performance, but a supportive layer that’s attuned to the group and the moment. And our ceremony dog, Sary, is present as calm support in the room for anyone who feels they need it.
“Mother Ayahuasca is pure love. She has endless patience, and sometimes she’s a little strict, all to help you grow into who you truly are.”
A few years ago, I heard about Ayahuasca for the first time. It was during a difficult period in my life, when a lot was changing. Change brings questions. It makes you reflect on yourself, your environment, and the choices you’ve been making. And if we’re being honest, that’s not something people always feel like doing. Sometimes staying where you are, in what you know, feels a little easier and more comfortable.
It only seems that way. Because you don’t actually know what’s possible when you don’t yet have the answers to your questions. You don’t know the comfort of what could be. And that’s exciting, sometimes scary, and absolutely worth exploring. For me, the questions were things like: What do I want? What am I capable of? What truly matters to me? What makes me happy? And why do I do what I do, and still keep repeating it?
Mother Ayahuasca has shown me, and still shows me, with all her love, how to discover myself, understand myself a little better each time, and through that, understand the world around me. Every ceremony has made it clear to me to be patient, to listen, to feel, and that self-love is the most important thing of all.

Sary
Sary is our ceremony dog. She’s a Sharpei–Beagle mix and moves calmly through the space at her own pace. Many participants experience her presence as grounding and softening.
When someone is going through something intense, Sary will sometimes naturally seek contact. She may lie down next to you for a moment, rest her head near you, or simply stay close. Not because she “has to,” but because she senses when softness helps. Sometimes she also brings a touch of playfulness, just enough to let tension drop and bring you back into your body.
Important to know: Sary is there as support, not as a distraction. We respect everyone’s boundaries and make sure she’s only present where it feels appropriate.
Nova
Nova is social, lively, and really takes up her space in the room. She’s not just “soft in the background.” Sometimes she seeks contact in a very direct way, especially when there’s a lot of tension or energy in the group. That can feel supportive, but for some people it can be a bit much.
That’s why we work with clear boundaries. We guide contact with Nova so she’s present in an appropriate way and no one becomes overstimulated. You don’t have to interact with her. If you prefer distance, we respect that and make sure your space is protected.
Nova brings connection and movement. And she’s also very honest in how she shows up. That’s exactly why we name this upfront, so you know what to expect.
SunGaya is a place of stillness and strength where healing is allowed to deepen.
You are seen and supported as you integrate what you have experienced.
Here, everything is welcome, and you find the space to truly come home to yourself.
